Will taught me how to meditate in February and I've found it to be an incredibly helpful tool, a nice way of recharging the batteries twice a day. My ability to handle stress has greatly been enhanced, I don't seem to sweat the small stuff as much anymore and I seem to be naturally veering towards more healthy choices in my life. Will is a great person to learn from, very calm, fun and knowledgeable. Jess is wonderful too. I was immediately struck by the genuine kindness of this stranger and the warmth that she radiated. On all of my subsequent interactions with Will, Jess and Elle, since learning to mediate, I have continued to experience this kindness and generosity which I am extremely grateful for. They are doing what they do for admirable reasons, their intentions are good. Another thing that has been great about learning to mediate is that I've met some really lovely people along the way, some of whom I see semi regularly for group meditations and curry nights in our local area now.

As a mum that works full time I really look forward to those two little pockets of time in the day that I dedicate to meditation. The sleep I'm getting since I started mediating is good quality sleep and although I only manage 7 hours (and sometimes less if any little people get up in the night) I feel like I've had the 9 hours I would like to get! At weekends my 4 year old has taken to sitting quietly next to me while I mediate. Sometimes he just sits (and watches me, I think) and sometimes he looks at a book. It is now part of the weekend routine and he seems to look forward to it as much as I do. Better sleep is just one of the benefits. Being calmer and more tolerant of dirty dishes not put in the dishwasher or clothes not quite getting in the laundry basket but falling by it (every single time!) as well as people grabbing me at work as I'm trying to run out of the door and the long commute back to Essex every day. Life just seems a bit more vivid and full of energy which is great for me but also my son and husband too.

I signed up for the course because of stress that had been accumulating for a few weeks. The effect was immediate and in a couple of weeks the obvious symptoms were gone. I've noticed a few other changes as well and I feel more benefits with every passing day. As meditation techniques go, this one for me is the easieast one to practice and the one that makes me feel best by far. I really think it's an amazing and very powerful technique.

Thank you to Will & Jess, 2 wonderful lights in this world who have helped me start on a journey for which I have only just taken my first few steps & yet in such a short time walking this road through meditation has become a part of my daily ritual as brushing my teeth. The beauty of learning with Will & Jess is they are not just here to introduce you to the road of meditation and then wish you well as you go on your way like so many courses one does, but it is in their practise of inviting you on their journey long after you have taken your first steps through their group meditations, retreats and further learning opportunities.

We asked our students how meditation has helped them...

My friend introduced me to Vedic meditation and I am very grateful that she did. I went to Will's intro talk and was convinced especially after hearing personal experience of others with Vedic meditation. As I was looking to start meditating again I signed up for the course straightaway. I have been meditating for just over 2 months now and experienced its tremendous benefits already. I am soooo relaxed, calm and NOT stressed at all. Even if I wanted to its not possible :0) I organised a demanding work event recently. Usually I would stress beforehand and panic a little bit but the event made me realise how relaxed I was and how the meditation is working already. I have done lots of meditation in the past and have been meditating for a good amount of years. I absolutely love Vedic meditation. It's very different from what I did previously. I love the freedom of the practise and how easy going it is. You are sitting comfortably anywhere you want on whatever you want. I usually use a sofa or a chair with your back supported. If I am rushing in the morning I can catch up on my med later on in the day on the train, in the park etc. You don't have to focus on not to be thinking. You can just let the thoughts flow, process them and get back to repeating your personal mantra which helps you easily to get to meditative state. How easy compared to what I did before! I was happy to drop sitting in a cross legged position for 10-20 minutes avoiding also painful arm positions. I am grateful for my previous practices which helped on many different levels and benefited me greatly. But it also gives me the opportunity to make a comparison. All meditation practices are unique it's just up to us which one we pick and which one will suit us the most. I found mine and Vedic meditation is the winner! Thank you Will, Jess and my friend.

Without even knowing when it actually began or how long I was there for, I found myself in a place of compliance. I was complying with society and its crazy lifestyle, complying with the nonsense of social standards and norms, and worst of all complying with the fear inside of me. Things needed to change; through a series of serendipitous events Jess and Will came into my life with so much light and love to express. I am forever grateful for the day I crossed the door into the world of Vedic Meditation. Now the only thing I comply to is the universe within my self. It is an absolute journey of transformation and learning how to live and understand life in its purest form. But, what really has made a difference is the warmth and support I have received from the two beautiful souls that are Jess and Will. From dealing with the anxiety that was accumulated in my nervous system to deciding taking Vedic knowledge a step further, they have been an an unconditional source of inspiration and clarity. Now most of my family meditates and that has truly demonstrated me that no matter the life style, ideology or life path of the individual this meditation if for everyone. Everyone that is willing to embrace and enjoy life, themselves and the rest. So, thanks to life for giving me and everyone else that desires to have this opportunity, and infinite gratefulness to Will and Jess for opening the doors to a universe of possibilities and experiences.

I have been joining the meditation classes and group events are an absolute joy and refresher for mind and soul. The classes helped me to get a more balanced, joyful and calm life and feel less stressed and more in control in private and business life. Additionally I really love the regular group meditations and check-ins as well as events like movie and music nights. I have tried many different meditations in the last 10 years and what I appreciate about this Vedic meditation is not only it's central location in central London and Victoria but also the way it's presented and taught - without dogma or the spiritual or religious flavour many meditations come with. Will has a very unique, friendly style and a strong focus on scientific and data-based argumentation when he talks about the benefits of meditation. I have made meditation a daily practice and feel I enjoy life not only more but look forward to each of the short 20 minute exercises every day and the weekly events with Will and Jess. It really changed a big part of my life and I made great new friends on the way that share the same passion and interests. Give it a try, I really recommend it.

Initially I didn't think I needed meditation. A combination of Taurean stubbornness, self reliance and a lack of education on the subject helped me form irrational preconceptions about meditation. I thought it was for monks, mountaintops and had little relevance for people living in London. After some encouragement from friends who had recently attended one of Will's classes and enthusiastically talked about the results, I attended the beginners course to see what all the fuss was about. For people like me who place a lot of value on how things work, I found the information during the course extremely interesting. It's all very well to talk about the results of meditation but I wanted to know why it worked and what happens physiologically when we meditate. It all makes perfect sense in hindsight and will happily admit that I was very wrong about my initial concerns. The benefits have been profound and subtle at the same time, but the most interesting reaction has come from friends and family who say that I seem happier and calmer. I've found that I'm still able to work hard during the week, but it's done without getting up every 5 minutes to "have a wander". Focus and enjoyment in what I do has made the working week more productive, and more enjoyable at the same time. For anyone who is a bit of a skeptic, I couldn't recommend Will and Jess highly enough. Aside from helping me to feel energetic and happy, they're also some of the nicest people I've met and very good at what they do. Big thumbs up from a stubborn mule.
