Around 6/7 months ago I started to suffer from severe anxiety / panic attacks. At first they were relatively infrequent but over time they became closer and closer together until I was living with constant anxiety. I was incapable of spending any time alone which in turn led to a period of very dark depression. Despite this, I was proactive about trying to get better and started searching out absolutely every treatment I could find: individual / group therapies, guided meditation, yoga, exercise and acupuncture to name a few. They all helped a small amount in the short term but more as a distraction. I was open with those around me about the way I was feeling and a very close friend suggested Vedic meditation. Obviously I jumped at the chance to try something new, took the beginners course and almost instantly began to feel better. In all honesty, meditation was the only thing that really touched the sides. As I felt the positive effects so quickly, I went on a weekend retreat which fast tracked my recovery even further. I cannot recommend meditation enough, it lifted me out of a very dark place and changed my life for the better.

I had been practising Mindfulness of Breathing Meditation for a few years before taking the course. I knew the benefits of Meditation and wanted to start a daily practice and have the possibility to attend group meditations. I certainly didn’t expect Vedic Meditation to be easier than my previous practice and most of all, I didn’t think that I would see the benefits of it that quickly. I had been suffering from IBS for a number of years and symptoms disappeared straight after the course. I first thought it was a coincidence but I have been fine since I started Vedic Meditation 9 months ago. I also find myself much calmer and focused, less impacted by stress and I guess simply happier. Will and Jess (and the team) make it easier for you too. They are fantastic, giving so much of themselves and offering great support to all of us – thanks guys!

I started practicing meditation earlier this year and it has so far exceeded my expectations. The simplest way to describe what happens when I meditate is by comparing it to turning a computer off and back on again. All the clutter and noise in my head stops and I become aware of some immediate changes within myself: I feel more alert yet more relaxed, I have a greater attention span and can start to appreciate my surroundings in an entirely different way. The end result has been a much happier me. I would urge those with even the faintest curiosity about Vedic Meditation to pursue it. The process of learning is entirely culturally unchallenging - there is no singing, no lotus position and no religious agenda. You will not be asked to question your own beliefs but invited to learn from your own experience. I should also point out that this form of meditation is very different to other types of meditation I have been taught in the past such as mindfulness. As a health care practitioner I am also interested in the objective benefits of practicing Vedic meditation. While still a relatively new area for research, a growing amount of empirical evidence supports this technique as a way of reducing blood pressure, helping stress related disorders and improving our sense of self. Having experienced the benefits first hand I am excited to follow progress of VM in healthcare in the future.

Meditation is my medication… it’s no coincidence these two words are so similar. As soon as I began meditating with this technique my whole body started vibrating with such an overwhelming feeling that I couldn`t help but smile. Now I`m more connected to myself and more present in my life. It's something so beautiful to experience which is why I'll always thank Will for teaching me this Vedic meditation and I'll always recommend this to my friends.

I was completely new to meditation before the course, and decided to give it a go after going through some personal issues in life, and thought “why not”. This was 3 months ago, and since then I have been meditating once to twice a day and really enjoy it. I absolutely love getting in from work and meditating for 20 minutes, it’s so relaxing and is a great escape for the mind from the chaotic world in which we live. I now feel more relaxed and less stressed, and feel that it helped me get through a difficult period and I now genuinely enjoy it. Will was an excellent and insightful teacher, and I felt a real sense of connection with him, and together with Jess they were brilliant hosts throughout the experience. They definitely made me feel at ease straight away with a new topic that I was not sure and knowledgeable about beforehand, and demonstrated that it can be used in a very effective way by an everyday normal bloke like myself.

I didn’t have any particular expectations when I embarked on Will’s introductory course, but was willing to try anything which might alleviate my chronic insomnia. The impact has been astonishingly swift and positive. Life is just so much easier now. My relationships have improved, I am much more effective at work, and I have a sense of wellbeing that I haven’t experienced in years.
