Meditation for ADHD
Meditation practice has been shown to have a rebalancing effect on brain chemistry, and studies show that the use of personalised mantras can lead to improvements in brain function and language-based skills among meditation students with ADHD.

The Problem
Symptoms of ADHD tend to be spotted when children are very young, and may become more noticeable during life-changing events, like starting school. Most cases are diagnosed when children are 6 to 12 years old.
The symptoms of ADHD usually improve with age, but many adults who were diagnosed with the condition at a young age continue to experience problems.
People with ADHD may also have additional problems, such as sleep and anxiety disorders.

How it affects you
Although the underlying cause is not yet fully understood, we know there must be some form of neurological imbalance involved due to the pacifying effects of medications such as Ritalin.
Unfortunately, this and other medications can have significant side effects, leading many people to seek alternative ADHD help.

How can Beeja help?
Dealing with ADHD through Beeja meditation works in a number of ways…
Firstly, the soothing quality of the customised mantras we give out has a de-stimulating effect on the nervous system. Over time, excess stimulation is eliminated.
Beeja also helps to restore the chemical balance in the brain; this allows our automated systems to function as efficiently as possible.
Meditators become more aware of the environment around them and are able to read and respond to people’s emotions more easily. As a result we find we can more easily develop deep and meaningful relationships with those we interact with.
The genius of the little mantras we give out is that they have such an immediate and harmonising impact on our mind, body and nervous system. Our experience has also shown that in a short time, the need for medications often drops away as the root causes tend to rebalance.
Scientific studies have also shown that there is improved brain functioning, increased brain processing, and improved language-based skills among meditation students dealing with ADHD through personalised mantras.
If the person in question is a minor, then we ask that at least one parent or guardian meditates too so that they can understand, relate to and guide the child’s experiences until they are an adult.
We also recommend parents consider learning so that they are better able to cope with the very challenging circumstances that this condition brings to everyone in a household affected by ADHD.
